How do I create an account?
You can create an account using:
- Email and password registration
- Sign in with Apple
- Other OAuth providers (LinkedIn, Amazon, Microsoft, Google)
Simply tap the sign-up button on the login screen and choose your preferred method.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time:
- Open the Perikles app
- Go to Settings or Profile
- Select "Account Settings"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including images, bids, and profile information, will be permanently removed.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept the following payment methods:
- Apple Pay (for iOS users)
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- Payment processing is securely handled through Stripe
Why does the app request location access?
Location access is optional and used to:
- Show nearby events and content relevant to your area
- Enhance the Discover section with location-based recommendations
- Provide personalized local art and auction content
You can use the app without granting location permissions, though some features may be limited.
Why does the app need camera access?
Camera access is used for:
- Scanning QR codes for event ticketing and check-in
- Uploading photos and artwork to the platform
- Profile picture updates
How do auctions work?
Perikles features real-time art auctions:
- Browse available artwork in the auction section
- Place bids in real-time using WebSocket technology
- Receive notifications when you're outbid
- Win artwork and complete secure payment through our platform
How do I upload images?
To upload images:
- Tap the upload button in the app
- Select an image from your photo library or take a new photo
- Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP (max 5MB per image)
- HEIC images are automatically converted to WebP for optimal compatibility
I'm having login issues after granting location permission
If you experience login problems after granting location access:
- Force close the app completely
- Reopen the app and try logging in again
- If the issue persists, try resetting your password
- Contact support if the problem continues
The Discover section isn't working
If the Discover section isn't displaying content:
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure you've granted location permissions (optional but recommended)
- Try refreshing the page by pulling down
- If you've denied location access, the app will show general content instead of location-specific recommendations
Payment and subscription questions
One-time purchases: Used for image activation or single purchases within the app.
Subscriptions: Available for premium features with recurring monthly or annual billing.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe and Apple Pay. You can manage subscriptions through your iOS Settings app under Subscriptions.
